“Around el Enseñante” El Enseñante means one who teaches. Just as Water is our first medicine, Fire is our first teacher, and during 2020 fires raged stronger than ever before. The Amazon, the Pacific West Coast, Europe, the tundra all burned. At the same time, because of Covid, Fire allowed us to be with one another during the colder months. It brought us in and allowed us to be close when everything else kept us apart. In honor of the Fire and our relationship with it, I share with you this piece.

10% of profit will be donated to Running Strong. This powerful Indigenous organization brings clean Water to thousands of families and provides tools and land-based knowledge for growing community gardens in Pine Ridge Reservation.
